Analysis of opening sequence.

The purpose of an opening sequence is to quickly engage the audience and make sure they are interested so they will continue to watch the film.

It is immediately made clear to the viewer that the clip of 'London To Brighton' is the opening sequence of the film, as at the beginning of the opening sequence 'London to Brighton' there is a black screen with a white title reading 'London 3:07 am'. So this shows it is just beginning, as it is obviously due to the titles also is London to Brighton there are many unanswered questions which is common in opening sequences.

London to Brighton- Opening sequence

We usually know when we are watching an opening sequence due to titles, also commonly in opening sequences there is a build up for enigma, and unanswered questions.

Perhaps you could upload the openeing sequence to London To Brighton here... you can do it from my computer.

It would be good to discuss a range of openiong sequences, not just one.

You need to discuss the different ways titles are incorporated into the sequences. Waht are the different options and who do they affect the overall look, feel, pace and rhythm of the sequence?
